2023/7/2 Yokkaichi Catholic Church

  1. Anointing the Sick: July 2nd (Sun.)
    The 10:30 am Mass will be dedicated to anointing the sick at Yokkaichi Church. Those who wish to receive this sacrament should sit in the front row of the chapel.
  2. Council Sunday: July 2nd (Sun.)
    All those concerned with the Church Council, please gather after the 10:30 am mass in St. Mary’s Hall.
  3. How to Donate “Church Maintenance Offerings”
    This is a change from the previous way of offering. Please put the monetary “Church Maintenance Offering/Contribution” envelope in the box installed at the back of the church. Thank you.
  4. Summer Camp (Mie Northern Block)
    An acolyte training session will be held. We look forward to your participation.
     Place: Yokkaichi City Youth Nature House.
     Date: Sunday, July 23 to Monday, July 24.
     Time: July 23 after the 10:30 mass until about 1pm on Monday July 24.
    Target Grades: Elementary 3rd grade to High School 3rd grade.

    ★　Application deadline: Sunday. July 9th
    ** acolyte (someone who helps a priest in some religious ceremonies.)

  5. Pilgrimage Bus Tour 2023: Mie Northern Block
    Current information: TBD (To be decided)
    Date and time: October 9, 2023 (Holiday)
    Possible Location: Miyazu or Takatsuki Church.
    Applications will be accepted after everything has been decided. Thank you for your patience.
  6. Maria Cafe and Refreshments
    On Sunday, July 9th after the 10:30 am mass, we will hold a Refreshments gathering at Maria Café. Depending on the weather, the event might be held at the Maria Hall instead. We hope to see everyone drop by and have some refreshments.
    The next Maria Café Refreshment meet, will be held on Sunday, August 20th.
  7. Yokkaichi Catholic Church: Notices and Information.
    Starting this month (July 2023), notices and information regarding Yokkaichi Catholic Church will be issued on the 1st Sunday of each month.
    We are happy to announce that instead of notices and information written in Japanese, we will have them translated into English, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, and Vietnamese and will be posted on the Yokkaichi Church website at: https://yokkaichicatholi.holy.jp/

  8. Church Services
    * COVID-19 and Safety: We are looking for volunteers to help protect and keep Yokkaichi Church clean and virus-free now and in the future. We would appreciate any assistance you can offer. Anything is welcome. Please contact the office staff at any time. (For example: at Maria cafe, cleaning after mass, etc.)
