2023/11/5 Yokkaichi Catholic Church Notice for November and December

  1. Kyoto parish priest transfer (Oct. 1st)
    Rev. Adam Kujak (Escolapios Sisters, Diocese of Yokohama) Father Kujak was appointed as the priest for the northern Mie block (Yokkaichi Church). Welcome Father Kujak.
    Rev. Victor Delavan (formerly appointed, Escolapios Sisters: Priest in charge of Northern Mie Block) was also appointed as the priest in cooperation with the Mie area.
  2. Mass Notices:
    All Saints’ Day Mass is Wednesday, November 1st at 7:00 p. m.
    Anointing of the Sick is the 1st Sunday of every month. In November it’s on Sunday the 5th at 10:00 a. m.  If you would like to receive this sacrament, please sit in the front row of the church.

    Holy Eucharist will be held after Mass at 7:00 p. m. every Thursday on November (9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.)

    Month of the Deceased. All Masses are dedicated to the deceased during November. Applications for memorial masses and prayers for those who have passed away will be accepted at the back of the church.  Please write your name (spirit name) on the application card and place it in the application box. We also accept condolences from non-believers.

    Shichi-Go-San Blessing 
    The Shichi-Go-San Blessing will be on Sunday, November 12th at the 10:00 a. m. Mass. If you would like your child to receive the Shichi-Go-San blessing, please contact the church office. Application deadline is Sunday November 5th.

  3.   Northern Mie Block Joint Confirmation Ceremony is November 12th at 2:00 p. m. at Suzuka Church. 14 people from Yokkaichi Church will receive the sacrament. We ask that you please pray for these people. God Bless.
  4. This week’s Word (holy verse) is posted on the bulletin board outside. Please have a look.
  5. Maria Cafe:  EVERYONE! Lets enjoy some coffee or tea at the Maria-kan Hall after the 10:00 a. m. Mass on Sunday, November 12th. It’s free and fun.
  6.  International Cooperation Committee members please gather at Maria-kan on Sunday, November 19th at 2:00 p. m. to discuss about the English Mass.
  7. Fall/Winter cleaning and illumination installation is on Sunday,November 26th at 11:00. Your kind cooperation is welcomed.  Also, we will clean and polish the sacred instruments used at the church on Sunday, December 10th at 11:00 a. m. Your kind cooperation is welcomed.
  8. Do you like to read?  You are welcome to borrow the books that are available on the bookshelf in front of the Maria Building hallway. If you’d like to borrow some books please fill out the check out information in the notebook before using them. The notebook is next to the bookcase.

    On Sunday, December 3rd from 11:00-14:00 there will be a “Meditation session” led by Father Adam Kujak
    (Please prepare your own lunch)

    There will be no Tagalog Mass on Sunday, December 3rd.
